Hi,

Im 14 weeks pregnant and im currently going to the Wellcare Clinic in Knowledge Village as it is very close to my work, however i have had negative feedback about this clinic and want to look into going elsewhere.

I have Bupa Gold Medical Insurance, can anyone recommend a good Dr or Hospital?

I had my baby 18 months ago at City Hospital with Dr Elsa and I think that we have BUPA gold. You might find that you can't get an appointment with her for weeks and weeks because she's very popular but I have to say that I was very happy with her and the hospital so it would be worth the wait in my opinion. Congratulations and good luck!

Congratulations Blueblogger! I was just about to say Welcare Hospital in Al Garhoud :) I had my antenatal care there with Dr. Medhi Santi who was just fantastic. Never rushed me, amazing listening skills, very caring + an excellent OB/GYN. I delivered my second child there + will always have lovely memories of the whole experience. I was treated with such respect, as were my family. I hmmed + ahhed about whether to have a Doula as I wanted my husband to take care of our first born rather than be in with me. I didn't have a doula in the end, just the midwives, the 3 of them were like sisters + gave me loads of support. <em>edited by KT on 12/04/2011</em>

From the point of view of doulas....... Wellcare is the ONLY (as far as I know) hospital here that will not let you have a doula, so if you are thinking of having any of us..... you will need to birth your baby somewhere more 'doula friendly'
