you can use your buggy up to the door of the plane on departure, but on arrival it's usually delivered to the baggage carousel/ oversized baggage area in arrivals. I used to carry my babies in a sling from aircraft to baggage carousel to have hands free, but Dubai airport is usually pretty good with offering free strollers or other assistance when you disembark.

I would ring the airline and ask Would a carry cot fit in the overhead lockers? Or are you planning to use it on the plane itself as I don't think that would be allowed

Im quite sure you'll get it near luggage belt, but you'll definitely be able to ask for assistance for when you land. Make sure you book this through your airline before you leave. Check Heathrow website to see what service to expect, it's free and for everyone but you need to book it through your airline. Safe flight!

I am travelling with British Airways and will gate check my buggy at Heathrow. Wanted to know from the travelling mums if at Dubai airport I will get the buggy at the door of the plane or somewhere near the luggage belt. I hope I don't have to carry my baby in my lap and the bags and do the horrendously long airport walk. Also would anyone know if I am allowed to take a carry cot in place of a cat seat. I have the Maclaren XLR with the carry cot and an hoping they will allow me to take that in place of the car seat. Has anyone successfully managed to travel with a carrycot? Thanks
