But can request to be granted another rest day if they are working on New Year’s Day.

The first of January will fall on a Tuesday – which means no long weekend, but it’s a must deserved mid-week relaxing session.

The UAE has also been gearing up with loads of celebrations for NYE in the country – with amazing firework displays scheduled, events and offers on December 31, 2018.

As the clock strikes 12, thousands of residents in the UAE will be celebrating a new chapter in their lives as 2019 is a new year for more achievements.
