Thinking of hitting Dubai's beaches during Eid Al Adha 2024? We don't judge you for wanting some fun in the (scorching) sun, but take note that eight of the city's public beaches will only be allowing exclusive entry for families during the Eid holidays.

Dubai Municipality has announced that eight public beaches will be family-only during the Eid public holidays, expected to last until Tuesday June 18.

The official dates for Eid Al Adha will be announced closer to the date, as it relies on the moon sighting.

Which Dubai beaches will be family-only?

The following eight public beaches in Dubai are reserved for families-only during the Eid Al Adha 2024 holiday.

  1. Khor Al Mamzar Beach
  2. Cornish Al Mamzar Beach
  3. Jumeirah 1 Beach
  4. Jumeirah 2 Beach
  5. Jumeirah 3 beach
  6. Umm Suqeim 1 Beach
  7. Umm Suqeim 2 Beach
  8. Jebel Ali Beach

A team of 65 field supervisors along with 140 crew members overseeing safety and rescue will be onsite at these eight public beaches in Dubai throughout the Eid Al Adha break.

According to Ibrahim Mohammad Juma, Director of Public Beaches and Water Canals Department at Dubai Municipality, the decision was implemented to "provide family members with a unique opportunity to enjoy the Emirate’s top tourist destinations during the Eid holiday."
