Celebrate UAE National Day 2021 at the 'greatest show on Earth'!

Private sector employees in the UAE can look forward to three days of public holidays to mark the country's 50th National Day and Commemoration Day.

With the holidays taking place from Wednesday December 1, to Friday December 3, there's heaps of ways to celebrate the UAE's Golden Jubilee.

Expo 2020 Dubai has a spectacular line-up of National Day events in store that promises to delight residents and visitors.

1. Fireworks display

Celebrations for the nation's Golden Jubilee are fast approaching, and visitors can be sure Expo 2020 is setting up to go all-out to mark the occasion by lighting up the sky.

Watch as Expo 2020 pays tribute to the 50th UAE National Day with a stunning fireworks show at 8 PM from Wednesday to Saturday.

2. UAE National Day shows

Visitors at Expo 2020 can watch 150 performers across a variety of UAE National Day shows.

On Thursday December 2 starting from 10:15 AM, there will be a raising of the UAE flag, speeches, and a performance of the national anthem by a children's choir in Al Wasl Plaza.

There will also be roaming parades, air shows, Ayala performers and drone shows taking place throughout the public holiday.

3. Watch Expo 2020’s Golden Jubilee performance

The visually stunning 'Journey of the 50' is an immersive show that will take place in Al Wasl Plaza at 7 PM on December 1 and at 7:30 PM and 10:15 PM on December 2 - 4. Visitors can also watch it livestreamed on the Jubilee Stage.

Described as an "extension" of Expo 2020's grand opening ceremony, it's an internationally-produced piece featuring UAE residents and folks all over the world.

You can also look forward to Al Azi performances at Expo 2020, which is a traditional 5-7 minute poetry recital.

4. Marching band and horses

Dubai Police horses and the UAE Ministry of Interior Marching Band will take part in the 'Colours of the World Parade' between 12:45 PM to 1:15 PM.

5. Musical performances

At 3:15 PM on December 2, fans of the Emirati singer Fatima Zahrat AlAin can watch her stellar live show at the Music in the Garden concert series.

Visitors can also experience Exposonix, a 16-piece UAE National Day musical performance set to entertain guests on the Jubilee Stage this Thursday.
