Dr. Michael’s Dental Clinic Welcomes Oral-Maxillofacial Surgeon Prof. Steen Sindet-Pedersen

Prof. Steen Sindet-Pedersen joins our team at Dr. Michael’s Dental Clinic with many years of private practice focusing on dental and maxillofacial implantology, bone grafting, reconstructive and orthognathic surgery.
Prof. Steen Sindet-Pedersen received his dental degree from the University of Aarhus (Denmark) in 1979. He pursued further studies and completed his specialist training as Oral Maxillofacial Surgeon in 1985, and earned his Doctorate in Medical Science (Hons) in 1991 from the same university.
He was the Acting Head of the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Aarhus University Hospital from 1989 to 1993. He was appointed lifelong Professor in Oral Maxillofacial Surgery by Queen Margaret of Denmark in 1993. He was also a visiting professor of the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Department at the University of Texas in Houston, USA from 1989 to 1998, and was appointed the first professor of Oral and Maxillofacial Implantology in Europe at Eastman Dental Institute, University College London in 1998. Carrying out dental implant and bone grafting procedures, Dr. Steen was also a visiting surgeon at the Zahnklinik Rennbahn AG in Basel, Switzerland from 1995 to 2011.
Prof. Steen has also contributed largely in the biotechnology industry. From 2004 – 2011, he co-founded and managed Drug Delivery Solutions in Leatherhead, UK. It was also during this time he co-founded and seated as the senior scientific advisor to the MC2 Biotek Group, Denmark.
Prof. Steen was a professor of Oral Maxillofacial Surgery at European University College in Dubai from 2011 to 2013.
He has published more than 85 peer reviewed scientific papers within the fields of dental implants, bone grafting and reconstruction of facial malformations.
