The new nol+ program will also allow you to earn points to redeem as credit

Originally introduced as a public transport pass to use for the Dubai metro trains, buses, marine transport, and trams, the nol card was eventually included as an alternate way to pay for public parking, groceries at select retail outlets, and government services in Dubai.

Soon, Dubai residents and visitors were able to pay for park tickets using a nol card, such as the Al Shindagha Museum, Quranic Park, and select public parks.

The list of museums and attractions will soon expand to grant nol card users access to more locations in the emirate.

At the 2019 edition of GITEX, the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) announced that they collaborated with the Dubai Museums Company (Dubai Museums) to launch the move.

Abdulaziz Al Falahi, CEO of Corporate Technology Support Services Sector, said, “This step would indisputably enhance RTA’s tireless efforts to deliver top-notch services represented by digitilising its nol card usage and ease of its accessibility to make people happy including residents, visitors and tourists flocking to Dubai from all over the world.”

Paying for your ticket to attractions in Dubai is similar to paying for public transport - simply tap your card.

nol+ loyalty program

If you're a frequent public transport user in Dubai, it's recommended you sign up for the new nol card loyalty program launched by RTA.

Nol cardholders will gain points every time they use their card - all you need to do is sign up for free and enter your card's tag number into your account. Users can register up to 4 nol cards per account.

Blue cardholders will gain 1 point per AED 1 they top up; silver and gold cardholders will earn 1 point per AED 2 they top up.

The RTA said that they have “plans on making the nol card the platform with which tourists and residents alike can access some of the city’s top attractions throughout the year.”
