The National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Team has announced the reopening of all public beaches in Sharjah from Monday, 3rd August, 2020.
According to a report from wam.ae, UAE authorities have urged the public to strictly follow all precautionary measures while at the beach to ensure the health and safety of everyone.
These guidelines include adequate physical distancing and wearing face masks.
Sharjah's public beaches were closed for several months in an effort to reduce the spread of COVID-19 in the emirate.
Local authorities have also announced the reopening of a number of museums, schools, and training centres in Sharjah.
As the UAE's cultural capital continues to reopen many of its public facilities, the emirate is preparing to create new recreational, tourism, and hospitality projects.
Marwan bin Jassim Al Sarkal, Executive Chairman of Sharjah Investment and Development Authority Shurooq, said on Sharjah TV that the authority will be kick-starting four new large-scale projects in Khor Fakkan, Kalba, Al Dhaid and Mleiha.
These developments on natural landscapes and heritage will see the transformation of Sharjah into a must-visit for nature experiences in the country, with hopes of boosting city as a leading destination for tourists, UAE residents, and Emiratis.
