Hi Ladies,

I'm 13weeks pregnant and I am suffering from really bad headaches. I try sleeping it off, keeping hydrated and insuring I'm eating healthy and enough but nothing seems to work.

I am very worried about popping a pain killer even though i have been told i can do so.

Is there anything anyone can suggest? the pain is unbearable :(

I've tried the massages....i'm a trained masseuse so I tell my husband how to do it, but hes not that good. lol I've tried your way, it really works, lets hope it lasts. Your explanation of the reason "why we have headaches" is so much better than the Drs :D I will definitely try tiger balm. You've been great, thanks a lot :)

hey KiranB, i to had a constant headache for first 3 and a half months...sometimes less sometimes high.apparently few people have that in pregnancy.i still have them but not as before.my DH use to massage daily and then i found later that rather then having a massage just with your own fingers press horizontally or vertically like you are dipping your fingers in paint and making a line :) (if you can understand.) keep on doing for few minutes you will find relief if not gone. apparently blood circulation is not proper and that's why due to loads of hormones head starts pounding. use tiger balm, as presam suggested, you can get from day to day supermarket near deira metro station and meditation will relax you a little too.

Thats exactly what the Dr said, I have no reason to be stressed, I was worried first about just moving here and finding out I was pregnant, but I'm okay now. Perhaps its because I need to travel back to London for the birth...that's the only thing I think about, when to travel, without being away from my husband for too long. Nothing that stresses me out as I will be around loads of family. Haven't tried a balm, will try that. Thank You

calm down KiranB!! i think its all related to stress! Do not think about headache at all. if u're ok with it, apply balm and lie down and tell yourself to relax. i had similar problems in my first pregnancy, and it was all related to how much concerned and worried i was in my first trimester. Keep yourself busy with something that u like to do.
