Hello everybody!
My 2,5 year old son and I, just moved here to Dubai (dubai marina), from Denmark.
We already love it here. Im a stay-at-home mom, while we live here..
Even though that is great, - I can feel that my son needs to interact with other kids.
( i think im borring him ;) ) anyway, i guess im writing in hopes of, advisebon where to meet people (make friends).
Or uf the person thats reading this, have a toddler who wants to play - just let us know :)

Hej Ida, You can also check out the Norwegian Semen's Center if you want to talk some scandinavian. They have a child group where parents meet up and play with their children together every Monday at 10.00 till about 11.30 ish. Its a large group and all the families live all over Dubai. Thank you so much, hshippey - i will check the pages out. I must be searching all the wrong places, just yesterday i though - maybe theres just absolutely no scandinaviens with kids in this country!! Hi Ida We are also new to Dubai and keen to meet people. I have a 22 month old son, so not as old as yours but I am sure he would love to play with another boy. I also have a 4 year old daughter who goes to nursery. Nicola We also considered nusery for my boy - but im not sure yet! - so for now we are all free for playdates! :) 22 month is still a big boy, so im sure they could play just fine! :) where are you from? Hi Ida - I too am fairly new to Dubai & I have a 2 and a half your old boy as well so know what it is like. I also have a 5 yr old girl but she is at school and I stay home here which is very odd as I worked in the UK full time. How about a meet up coffee and kids can have a play. My name is Lisa and I am originally from Ireland but just moved over here in August. Lisa Hello Lisa! I would love to meet for kids play and grown up time! Eventough im soon only able to speak "toddler" ;) my son would sure love to play with another boy his age! Where in dubai are you living? :) Ida

There are a few other Swedish mums I know that live out on the Palm with children your age that want to meet up for play dates etc. Meet everyone first at the Semen's center then you can make your own play dates once you have had your initial introduction with each other. :-) The Seamen's center is not very close to where you live im afraid. But worth a visit i believe.
