Hi
I am doing my 2nd round of IVF with Dr Pankaj (1st round ended in mc) and I have a lot of confidence in him and the clinic. However, I keep seeing so much now about Dr Fakih and DGFC and am hoping I am at the right place as see so little about Dr P! I wondered if any of you ladies out there (particularly in the older category - I am 40) could help my pma with some success stories with Dr Pankaj please. Having a bit of a wobbly day today!

Thanks so much for all the replies. Well I have started round 2 with him so we will see. I am back next week to see how things have developed so please god I will also have a success story soon. LOVE Dr P. But he was the only doc I ever saw for IVF so cannot comment on others... All I can is that I saw his clinic once in Sharjah and got a strong feeling that this was it...and when I met him, the feeling was stronger. He is very abrupt and very professional...but thats what I needed.

Hi Wingclip, I was reading through you post and just wanted to give my opinion, Dr P is very nice man and know people recommend him, however I would recommend meeting will all the Doctors here before you make your decision. We had two failed IVFs with Dr P (both pretty disatrous cycles), and then changed to Dr Fakih, I am now currently pregnant with twins and the whole cycle was perfect and went like clockwork. Personally we felt that Dr Fakih/team and the whole service was a lot higher than that of Dr P, and felt that the Dr P does a very "one size fits all" protocal, where as Dr F really changed my protocal to suit me. I ended up with double the amount of eggs (15), 3 went to blast, transferred 2 and froze 1. You do pay more for Dr Fakih, but I can honestly say from my opinion that you get a lot more, we had so many more tests before and after transfer. Another thing, I was in agony on both egg retrievals with Dr P, but was asleep totally with Dr F. There are a lot of factors and I suppose everyone is different and different doctors suit different people. This is just my opinion from my personal experience. I have a 6 year old and 4 year old twins thanks to Dr P. I had the boys just before I turned 40. I liked him a lot. Very busy place but found him very honest and practical. My mantra was keep positive, relax, take it in my stride. I never thought for one moment it wouldn't work. Good luck!

We are a very happy customer of Dr P we are currently in the UK showing off our Buetiful baby girl who is 3 months now. Would happily recommend him to anyone he is very busy and yes when you see him he is always rushed but he know his stuff and is very honest and for me I needed that. Good luck x PS try acupuncture it helped me :) Thanks again - did you do the accupuncture all the way through or just certain times? I did it last time at retrieval and transfer time and was pleased. Just want to try anything at all extra which may help this time - thanks! :)

I went to Dr. P and got pg with twins after the first IUI attempt. I had only one consultation with him. Another doc and a nurse did the IUI. But I ended up having OHSS a few days after the IUI and Dr. P paid special attention to me and personally scanned me to monitor OHSS. I feel otherwise he's so busy with IVF patients that he may not see IUI ones. I was very worried about OHSS after reading horrible things on Google; but assurance from Dr. P helped me at that stage. He doesn't come across as totally soft and sweet; rather always hurried. But I believe he knows his stuff very well. I wish you all the best with your second attempt.

Wingclip, I am one of his happy customers, but if you are unsure there is no harm In taking an appointment elsewhere as it is an expensive process if your not 100% sure your at the right clinic. I like Dr P as he is very honest about things, sometime too honest and Dr Fakih seems to have a more positive approach and maybe slight too positive and does tell the whole story....this is just my view of course. Do what feels right for you!!!
