Can anybody confim if we need an Id card to renew a visa, even though the deadline has been extended?
My visa needs renewing in 3 weeks but I have no id card...

yeh get it on renewal, as i suspect they will start bringing in requirements for it, like car rego etc before too long.

I think Id cards are being issued at visa renewal now...... How can that be so, when thousand still don't have them? The last communication was that the deadline is scrapped, Nationals have to get their ID cards by 30th June 2011 and expats can get theirs on renewal of their visa, but all must be done before 2013. Exactly what I said Jules.......they can get theirs on renewal of their visa........ LOL ooops my eyes aren't working today I read 'used' not 'issued' my bad. Better go get some glasses :/ lol!
