So i will be trying the Yasmin pill next month since i donthave any more of my canadian birth control pills....

Anyone used it before? How is it? Appprently its the best here...

I had a terrible time on it just recently,i think my husband thought i was bipolar, one minute screaming, and the next crying. But i am extremly sensitive to contraceptive pills and am going off it. But as ladies have said everyone is different, the one good thing about it there always seems to be a good supply of it around.

I hate yasmin!!! It made me put in 8kgs in 3 months! And to think the doc promised me weightloss if i started on yasmin!

I have used Yasmin for several years and have had no side effects .It helped me with adult acne and made my skin look so much better. But I think its different for everyone..have read that some have had issues such as weight gain/mood swings etc. Personally it has been a great pill for me! HTH

I would like to have more feedback on this pill as this is what the doctor has prescibed me. For a long time I was on Mycrogynon with no problem - after LO was born, and not planning to have number 2 yet, this is what I have been prescribed.

I took Yasmin for one month and I had terrible side effects: migraine attacks, mood swings, constipation and all the bad PMS symptoms. It was terrible for me.

I also took it for years, was very happy with it. Last winter switched over to "Valette" (german one) which is stronger and it did not work at all for me, got a lot of water in my body! So, I switched back. There is another one which is called Yasminelle and I have this one right now, very happy with it. You can say it i the little sister of Yasmin :-) Yasmin / Petibelle: 3 mg Drospirenon + 0,03 mg Ethinylestradiol Yasminelle / Aida: 0,02 mg Ethinylestradiol + 3 mg Drospirenon I do not know if you can get them here in UAE as well :-/ Does anyone know how much is the Yasmin here.

Yasmin didn't work for me... made me very dry "down there" and lost all interest for intercourse. Stopped it and then things still took a while to come back to normal.

Yasmin was the first pill I tried and it did not work for me. My breast was so sore most of the time. I quit it after few months.

I think it's different from person to person. Took Yasmin some time ago and had to stop it due to migraine like headaches. Can't you contact the manufacturer of Alesse and ask if there'a a similar product available for UAE market?

i used it. I started of wtih Diane and it was quite bad for me. Switched to yasmin - and was quite happy taking it for 1 yr. Then stopped hence started palnning to concieve. It is very light pill and has some ingredients to reduce body water retention (wich is so common for diane for expample)
