Swiss nationals help, please.

Dorter has just called to tell me she lost her purse containing her Swiss ID card (and quite a lot of money because she was going out with friends for a meal this afternoon) at school. She is searching everywhere, but it seems as if the money was taken and the purse is probably in a bin somewhere. Does anyone know what we should do about the ID card? Should we report it to the police immediately or contact the Swiss consulate (who are shut until Sunday, otherwise I'd be asking them) to issue a new one?
