Hi. I have a wooden box that was made in the UK for my cats, your welcome to have for free. My cats were brought out in them via BA so it's airline approved. Email. [email protected]

Not getting rid of one - sorry! I recently got one made at Dubai Kennels & Cattery. Its a wooden box with a partition so it accommodates 2 cats. It conforms to the IATA standards and was 700 aed but that is because it fits two cats. I went in last week with my cats, they measured them, worked out the size of the box and told me the cost and yesterday I picked it up. If you want to go that route ask to talk to Dean - he's very knowledgeable and helpful. The other sort of box that can be IATA approved are the plastic ones - such as the skykennel and another one. Can't remember the names. I was told that what differentiates any plastic box from an IATA approved one is the way the top and the bottom bolt together. My everyday plastic box has clips which could potentially pop open in flight and so therefore isn't IATA approved and wouldn't be accepted by an airline. The size of the box will depend on the size of your cat -BA do an easy to follow dog measuring guide (same rules apply for cats): http://www.baworldcargo.com/products/How%20to%20measure%20your%20dog.pdf And yes, it's hilarious trying to measure a cat! :D Once you know the size of the box you require phone around as some of the vets sell them and I know that DKC sell them. I think the small size (which would have suited by 2.5 kg cat) was 295 or 395 and the larger box which would have suited by big boy (4.5-5.0 kg adult male) was about 595 I think.... Good luck!
