The fleet is quite new and it depends on what time of day your flight is whether the seats have a better pitch in Biz class. I find the service fine and have become quite familiar with Istanbul Airport and its not very good business lounge.. (husbad's co uses Turkish for most flights as they are so much cheaper than going direct). edited by simpleasabc on 17/01/2011

Agree with Akhmatova, business class is regular economy seating in the first few rows, with no one seated in the middle seat. It's fairly basic, but the prices are generally far better than Emirates, Etihad, etc traveling to Istanbul. Also less expensive to fly to Europe, but you will have to connect in Istanbul.

I took four flights with Turkish airlines over the holidays. Business class is not worth it - you get the middle seat free but no extra leg room and generally no entertainment system. Service was efficient but not very friendly. Each of the four flights differed - two were older, smaller planes filled with people who didn't seem to have been on a plane before i.e. taking ages standing in the aisle. The only decent flight was Istanbul to London, which did have decent screens and USB. Pretty basic.

What's your feedback on this carrier? Fleet - old? new? Business Class? - good? Overall service? Got some option of carrier and leaning towards this airline... just want to have some feedback first.
