yes greenfeilds is IB and i have also visited Nibras. but i have to put her in british for now as i cannot change curriculum. i think i wl get her in emirates for now and let her finish the academic year. this will also give me time to do my research and also i can change curriculum next year.... greenfields looks very good but a little heavy on my pocket as i would want all 3 kids in the same school.... winchester has also got a new principle this year and she sounds very enthusiatic to make the school better.... thanks all....this is my first time on expat women and it feels good to share and get opinions...

I would not touch Nibras. Emirates Intl is getting better, from what I have heard. I know Winchester is a bit yucky but a friend of mine has her daughter there and is happy with it in general. Greenfields is not British curriculum (US) but has a great reputation About the grading, do not be confused. As them what the birth year is for that grade. a 4 could be a 3 somewhere else, if you get me.

Have you had look at Nibras? It is right next to Green Community and cheaper than Greenfield....I know a few parents with children there who are very happy and apparently they have a new headmaster who is fantastic. Not sure of curriculum. There is also Al Worood that is cheaper again.! Greenfields is fabulous! Have not heard a good word about Winchester.... edited by AvalonMum on 20/01/2011 edited by AvalonMum on 20/01/2011 edited by AvalonMum on 20/01/2011

yes i am new to dubai. i have 3 kids and live in green community, DIP. i have moved from india but my kids were in british curriculum school there so i have to get them into the same curriculum school as according to KHDA rule i cannot change curriculum at this time of the year..... school fee is also a consideration so i am left with little choice i think.....i hv got my son (4 yrs old) started in winchester. my daughter is 9 yrs...i am so confused....should i start her in winchester as well and give it a try ...? also according to her age she is eligible for grade 4 but winchester will take her in grade 3 as she was in grade 3 in india and emirates will start her in grade 4....so she also looses a year in winchester......what should i do??? please give your inputs and help.....

Don't know much about Greenfields, but EIS isn't great. are you new to dubai, and if so how are you coming up with these schools? is it because you're looking for something close to where you will be living?if so let us know where that will be and we can maybe help with recommendations.
