Bentoya is very popular with Japanese expats which is a ggod sign. It is always busy.I used to live next door to it and went there once a week!I have tried most of their dishes and they are excellent. It is also very good value for money for normally expensive Japanese food. I like the atmosphere too and service is courteaous which is a plus in Dubai. Highly recommended!

You are right...I deem Sumo as the fast food of Japanese restaurants. But totally acceptable (price and quality) for the prices they charge. On the other hand, Yo charges so much for so little. The best thing about it is the novelty of the conveyor belt, but if you are getting delivery or go during a time they aren't busy (aka dishes take forever to get to you), then the novelty wears off quickly. So true! We have someone staying with us who just came to Dubai and noticed Yosushi and said "Lets go there i never had sushi like that before (meaning on the conveyor belt) and we got sucked into going.. but i'm always disappointed then when the bill comes.. even MORE disappointment. I am a huge sushi fanatic and i'm on my search for the best sushi place, so far i've only had Sumo, yosushi and Nobu. Nobu is a very beautiful place but i didn't find the sushi anything special. Bentoya is my next victim! :)

Thinking Special M has called already...but if they don't deliver to you, then I would say Sumo Sushi over Yo Sushi any day. I don't think either are particularly great or authentic ... but I think Sumo is much better than Yo (and better priced!). We didn't want to wait till 6PM so we ordered Sumo instead (it's okay, nothing that satisfying). Still want to try Bentoya but i'm doubting they will deliver to us.. and not sure how it will taste after the car ride over to us? I've had yo sushi and i find that it taste like supermarket sushi :/
