BTW my pigmentation is hideous, it is two big marks on my forehead, about 2 inches square each and are almost as dark as a freckle. I have to use special make-up to cover it up and cant go outside my front door without it! :-( ETA: It's because of pregnancy - after two years it's gotten much worse. Should have covered up with Sunscreen and a hat, but didn't know :-( <em>edited by Ginnee on 29/01/2011</em>

Yeah, I had an Aesthetician from Milan advise me (her husband is a colleague of my husband's) that a chemical peel is better for pigmentation than laser. Laser has not been proven effective for this and can make it worse.

Why dont you just remove the pigmentation marks by lazer? Having a peel for that is quite harsh. IPL lazer or Quantum lazer. Sorry to interject - but is that effective? I am always wary of laser claims but am looking for the same thing essentially.
