I have BF my LO since birth and she has always fed well (great weight gain), normally feeding off one breast for 10 mins. Now I am finding that she is getting easily distracted when I am feeding and figets a lot. If she has had 10 mins on one side I am now offering the other. I find on some feeds though she just does not seem to be interested, she will have 5 mins and then just keep smiling at me. Although this is very sweet it is fustrating as she is still waking at 3am for a feed. I really want to make sure she is getting enough in the day to cut out the night feed. Am I expecting too much? I currently feed her on a 3 hour schedule in the day, plus dream feed.
