Hi Sarah. Did you notice a grey cat? I can't get over there at the moment unless I take the kids - husband is away and nanny has just had a baby. Claire, we've run out of leaflets until hubby gets back and can print some more. We've dished them out to all the security guards and a few of the gardeners. Walked miles.

Good Morning, I did post on another thread that there are lots of pussats at Sharjah Animal Souq that I think should not be there, quite a few 'older' pedigree cats who are well groomed which is unusual there. I personally would not take children there as if it is as full of animals as it was a few days ago the way they are kept is heartbreaking. There is also an older lab and an older white fluffy dog there as well if anyone is missing these. If you tell me where you are coming from or what landmarks in Sharjah you know I will direct you. It usually opens around 10am.

Hiya - this is exactly what we did - my DH went on his own though as he wasn't sure if it was a good plan to take either me or the kids......he said it was an experience but not necessarily a good experience...... I got directions from here http://www.expatwoman.com/forum/messages.aspx?TopicID=135816 There was a municipality vet who visits the stores there and who was really helpful when my DH met with him and another vet there too who asked me to e mail the microchip number to her so if she scanned the cat she could contact me. As you know.....Millie was found on our street after 10 days missing - she was having a party at the end of the road...... What worked for us were leaflets to every single villa in La coleccion - I had some calls with possible sightings from various villas - some were about a cat who looked similar but the one that got us back down that end of the road was from a lady who felt 100% sure she had seen Millie in her garden - we just spent so much time down that end of the road and went back very late at night and there she was - surrounded by a whole load of cats - having the time of her life!!!!!!........ We've not had a leaflet on Twinkle. If I were you I would drop again - offer a reward. Get the guards at the gate to give out leaflets to all the gardeners too. give a leaflet to the security guard by the golf course construction site. E mail all the vets here in Dubai with a picture and a leaflet. Feline Friends were really helpful too. Have you put her on Dubizzle - I got a couple of calls from the Dubizzle lost and found ad. Really sorry you've not found her yet......I am keeping my eyes peeled for you....... fingers crossed she will be found soon.

Twinkle is still missing so I'm contemplating a trip to the infamous pet souk. I've never even been to Sharjah before so need a bit of help from you ladies in the know please... Is it easy to find? Any directions? Is it the sort of place to take kids or would they get upset? What time does it open? If I actually spot Twinkle how should I handle it? Do I just pay for her and leave? Or can I headbutt the shop owner? Thanks
