have tried tahm... he jumps back to our bed.. or wakes up at night crying.
Hi Shaf, it took us nearly a month to get our DS out of our bed at night. He didn't have a problem with going to sleep in his own bed but would wake up crying and then come into ours. It took a month of us taking him back to his own bed every time he jumped into ours. If we were lucky we could catch him at the door and turn him round. Some nights one of us had to lie with him so he could go back to sleep. After a month of putting him back he stopped getting up.
Shaf, can you not put your LO in cot in your room? That's what we did with our LO. It was the best decision I ever made. She still wakes up twice at night though.
As for my eldest, she is still in bed with me and I don't think she will ever go...
If Cecile is able to help you, please let me know. I would like Cecile to help my eldest/LO too.
I've been meaning to call her too but not until I try it on my own. I've tried before but very breifly than had visitors and then MIL came to visit and ruined everything. I have a 3 year old who sleeps on my bed and my 1 year old is in his cot in our room currently. He was in his own room but with the visitors I had to move him in with us.
Aaaaaaaah I should've moved DD a long time ago. Everytime I delay it, it'll get harder. She's really not the issue, my DS is 1 year old and still wakes up a couple times at night to feed. I'm trying to stop that, but it's really hard listening to him cry. I need to suck it up and do it. I hope it will work out for you.
Do it now before number three comes. That is my biggest regret now. I should have sorted out DD 1's sleeping issues before DD 2 came along.
Oh yes definitely need to sort both out before #3 comes along. I hope it works out for you Anon :) It's never too late.

So i've read up most of the threads about her, but none many seem to deal with her helping out with kids older than 12months.
My 21month old DS still sleeps with us, and now that we have a 1 month old, its getting very cramped in the bed.
While I am a great advocate of co-sleeping, i think its time DS moved to the cot or heck! even the couch!
Think Cecile can help?
Also, what exactly will she require from us? Cant really think of putting DS in a dark room and let him cry.. the crying is gonna last for more than a couple of hours for sure.. and besides, leave him alone in the dark... eeeks!
Anyones?
