Hi Ladies,
Am working on my birth plan and still hoping for a natural, drug free birth...however due to a low lying placenta things are still up in the air about how I will deliver...almost 35 weeks now and placenta is still a bit low for my ob/gyn although not covering cervix. I'm having another scan around 37/38 weeks so hoping all will be right by then.
One of the things on my birth plan is delayed cord cutting - letting the cord pulsate before being clamped. Is this possible in a c-sec and has anyone had experience with this, or are they just wanting to sew u up as quickly as possible?
thanks!

From what I've read there is no reason why not if all is ok with you and baby. I have read it is possible for baby to go on your chest immediately after too. No personal experience but have read a lot on it just lately as am doula in training. I think you need to make your wishes clear and make sure your husband is vocal about it at the point of birth to remind them!
