PLEASE can someone help me with this!!! I am looking for somewhere to buy my bridesmaid dresses.
I have a range of shapes and sizes of bridesmaids, but cannot find anything in hot pink that works.

Half of my BM's in Dubai and half in Oz...

cherrypip i had mine made in a place in deira- they did a fantastic job. 3 of my bridesmaids live him but one doesnt so just gave him her measurements and it fit perfect... I agree with Genie i would tell your birdesmaid in the nicest way that its your day and they wear what you want :) good lukc

Have a look on the websites debenhams uk, coast and Monsoon for ideas. I would ask the girls in Oz to look and try on themselves then take a picture and send it you for approval. they don't all have to be matching or the exact same hot pink shade, but they have to fit!

I was just bridesmaid for a friend in NZ. She gave us the fabric, cotton and a zip, and a few photo's of dresses that she liked, and let us chose what we wanted stylewise (although she did specify that she wanted short - i.e. to the knee, dresses, and strappy silver sandals). We all live in different countries, so if she had chosen the same style, the dressmakers would have interpreted them differently and they could have been a bit odd 'trying' to be the same. So, we all knew what she liked from the photos, and they all ended up different, but similar in some ways, and it looked great. HTH

If you have measurements, why not get them made? Or let the ladies buy them on their own as per your color requirements?. Or try Coast or Monsoon, they have a large selection. If you do a search, you will find many threads on this topic.

I should just add that some of them want long dresses, and some want short. Any ideas? If you are having difficulty trying to get dresses in a certain colour for BM's in two different countries why let them complicate it? You decide whether you want either short or long and tell them that's what you want. It is your day after all and you are having enough difficulty as it is. There are several bridal shops in Dubai - I know of one in Dubai mall and one in the Jumeriah Centre but there are others. How about ordering online from a well known brand like Pronuptia etc and they can be delivered to both places? <em>edited by Genie on 24/03/2011</em>
