Actually, we took the vaccine in a government hospital in Ajman where my SIL works. I really couldnt find the place in Dubai, I called the DOHMS in Dubai, & they were not sure about it. & yes Abaya is the best thing to wear there, & make sure to take enough socks as you have to take off the shoes inside the holly places.
Hope you enjoy your trip, its the best place in earth
hi there,
I just went to Umrah 2 weeks back, Acutelly the vaccine is not a must to get the visa, while its highly recommended as the holly places there are very very corwded, & you'll feel that every body is sick there. Dont worry nobody will stop you in the airport & ask about the vaccine. this will never happen.
have a nice trip.
Newbe which Dnata outlet did you visit? I recommend u visit the Dnata Travel Centre on Shk Zayed Road. They have a Hajj & Umrah dept on the Mezzanine floor and u will get all the information u r looking for. They r the experts in this, & u shld visit them to remove all your doubts.
We went and in order to obtain a visa were asked to provide documentation of meningitis shots and a no object letter from husbands work. It's best to deal with a travel agency specialized in hajj and ummrah. We once used al rayya. Their number is 04 289 9685. They are near garhoud and festival city. (and clear from 1-4 I believe)
Hope it all works out. :)
ETA: GCC citizens don't need a visa. They cross the border like EU citizens travel around Europe.

DH & DS have both been many times and never had vaccination.
They don't require visas though, so maybe this is only for those who are applying for visas. Call the Saudia Embassy. Or try a Muslim website...they may have more info.
