re: melatonin, maybe check to be sure you're allowed to bring it into the country. I know you can't buy it over the counter in the UK as it's considered a hormone.
hmmm things like maybelline etc - any drugstore will do.
i can't really remember about duty free as i used to wild in the aisles in the actual city as couldn't wait for airport! better choice in stores if there is something you are really after.
oh i forgot- mac is cheap too!
where is your hubby going?if it's NYC send him to Century 21 - mainly a clothes outlet but it has a teeny tiny cosmetics dept which i always get my clinique from. they give you loads of free gifts when they see you are a big spender!
thanks kelly, this is excatly what i'm after! p.s should i get him to get it in the duty free there or in the actual stores?

clothes: old navy - owned by gap, like gap, but lots cheaper. love their stuff.
most make up significantly cheaper esp clinique and estee lauder. kiehl's too. every drugstore will have a maybelline max factor revlon etc and usually much cheaper. likewise with shampoo and haircare - i've bought kerastase from nyc grotty drugstores for a fraction of the price in the uk. same with paul mitchell.
also you can buy stuff like melatonin (sleep aid) off the shelf as it's considered a supplement there.
My dh is going to the states and I am going to get him to bring some stuff back but what? Clothes, make up??? Is it much cheaper than here? Best buys? Thanks!
