I'm staying with friends at the Centro in Yas for the shakira concert, got an excellent deal just by phoning the hotel direct. 1050 dhs for 2 people, 2 nights, 2 breakfasts and 2 fan-pit tickets! My friend and I are paying just over 500 dhs each when a fan-pit ticket alone would have been 595dhs each!

Thanks, the link does not work so I sent emails to the hotels in the area. If anybody else is interested I will share the info.

See if this link helps http://www.theyashotel.com/specials-packages# Or try http://www.yasisland.ae/en/events-calendar/flash-events/yas-island-show-weekends/concerts/shakira--amr-diab-live-in-abu-dhabi/ for info it does say Show weekends have to be booked direct with the hotels. GoodLuck and have a great time. edited by lal1 on 11/04/2011

i stayed at yas - not part of the promotion, booked through expedia...lovely hotel - but the shower will flood the entire room - beware! Ive stayed at Yas twice, and never had a problem with the showers. The curtains were another story! We couldnt work out how to close the damn things.

Yes - I expected great things of the Yas Hotel and was a bit disappointed tbh....although, I used an Entertainer voucher, so can't really complain.....

Thanks for the info. However the links you sent are the links I found and it does not say how to actually book the offers as it says "book hotel packages through the hotels on Yas Island directly" so I guess I have to phone directly to the hotels as in the websites it is not any information about packages weekends (only in Yas Marina Hotel). Interesting what you say chizz about the YAs Marina Hotel as I thought it would be the best option.... Thanks again for the info!

I have stayed at Crowne Plaza and Yas Hotel so far on Yas (but not part of a concert deal). If money is a concern, I would stay at Crowne Plaza - rooms are nice, pool is a nice size (but was hard to get sunbeds on a weekend), etc. Yas is more expensive and looks more stylish - rooms are a bit nicer, but our balcony was obscured by the outer shell of part the of hotel (the bit that changes colour at night) and the pools were rubbish - small and 1 is obscured by this design thingy - don't know what to call it, but it partly covers the pool edge, for those who like to sunbathe - restaurants too are expensive at Yas...For half the price (at the time we booked), CP was better value. Hope they do concert deals though, as not sure.... edited by chizz on 11/04/2011

oh by the way - this was a major downpoint of the hotel - the pool is the size of a postage stamp and doesn't get much sun. if you're wanting pool time during the day - i'd pick radisson blu or another hotel instead....

Try flash.ae, some good deals with yas hotels and concerts. Rotana is nice, but pool gets barely any sun in the afternoon, you can use Centro's pool next door through at no charge. Not as fancy but gets full sun. Cheaper hotel overall too, less frills than Rotana. These 2 in addition to Radisson I think are all in a cluster and about a 10 minute (comfortable) walk to the concert arena. Yas Hotel - fancy one, is further away. yas hotel is on the circuit side, but is perhaps 3 mins walk further away from the concert arena, the main hotels are all grouped together. prob a 10 min walk up to ferrari world etc.

we stayed in the Yas Rotana for the Stevie Wonder Concert and while I thought it was a great deal (2 nghts b&b plus 2 golden circle tickets) for 1500dhs I thought the hotel was so so - well more specifically the service in the restaurants. Room was fine and we had to get a babysitter for the concert and that worked out great. Shuttle Buses to and from concert were gret too.

i think most of the hotels do deals with the concerts they are the ones that are subsiding it.

I am looking into Shakira and Snoog Dog concerts in a few weeks and I was wondering what are the deals to stay the night (or the weekend) over. I know Yas Marina Hotel has a couple of offers, do you know any other hotel? Just wondering if you stayed for Steve Wonder concert and what was your experience etc. Thanks ladies!
