Must we take passports to visit Al Ain and go up the Jebel Hafeet mountain?

Thanks so much everyone! We just arrived in Al Ain , enjoyed the drive very much and thankfully packed eats and drinks :-)

... on the map it looks like the mountain is just across the border? TIA no its still in al ain, at the bottom is burami which is in oman. to go the hotel or the top of the "mountain" then no need for passport.

On the way back down jebel hafeet call into the Mercure Grand Hotel for refreshments it's a lovely hotel.

no you don't need them to visit jebel hafeet. it's a beautiful drive there but be sure of having eatables with you. we thought of buying on the way or there only but the restaurant there is very bad and mall is so far. <em>edited by manubhadauria on 20/04/2011</em>

Al Ain is part of the UAE and so is Jebel Hafeet, which is in Al Ain, which are all in the emirate of Abu Dhabi...
