Long story short-we have too many babies and not enough nannies!! I am going back to work next week (part time) so we are looking to hire another nanny but only have one maid's room in our villa. We have been looking for live-out, but would love to help someone find accomodation near us. We live in Al Manara, near the small Choithrams. Does anyone by any chance fancy making a bit of spare cash and renting it out to us? We would of course check references etc. Thank you.

really? Didn't know that it was illegal. Why? Dubai legalities baffle!! I have been looking at portacabins as an option too.

It would be illegal for them to live with another family in their sq. I would also bung them in together and let them worry about the getting to know you bit. A friend of mine has a couple of portacabins in her garden for her staff.

Thanks for the suggestion. We had considered this, if our current nanny knew the other lady or if they were family. We just can't justify putting two strangers together and effectively giving them no privacy whatsoever. The room is really small and I dread to think how stuffy it would get in the summer, even with the AC on...

Many people who have more than one maid get bunk beds and the girls share. I know it isn't a perfect solution but perhaps you could discuss this as a possibility.
