Which formula?
I have fed my 4 month old pretty much exclusively with EBM, and at night she still latches on. I have started to get regular blockages despite expressing quite thoroughly every 3 hours, and have now started to cut back on expressing to reduce my milk supply and introduce formula ready for when we will totally move to formula (this seems to have eased off the blockages as well as I am able to keep to a better routine of expressing). Even as a newborn when she was a very hungry baby and my milk was not properly in, she didn't especially like formula hence why I have never given her great amounts. Now I do feel formula is becoming a necessity, I have a 4 year old, no maid, and a trip to the UK coming up, I simply cannot continue expressing every 3 hours, retain my sanity and meet both my children's needs. At the moment I am persevering with aptamil as you can also get that in the UK but I am considering switching brands, she clearly does not like the taste, and even when I just gave her a bottle of 4oz breast milk to 3oz formula she reluctantly drank some and then was sick a small amount about 5 times.
So which formula do you use? Have any of you had reluctant formula drinkers and found a great brand? Should I be expecting her stomach to go through a period of adjustment - ie. sickness or does this indicate aptamil doesn't agree with her? Any advice would be great thank you! I really don't want to overload her system with different brands and just want to get this right for her asap :-)
