My DD started nursery at exactly 3 months. In the weeks prior to going back to work I agonised over my decision to leave her in nursery and was so worried that she would be traumatised, get sick and other general 'bad mother' guilty-type thoughts. I couldn't have been more wrong! DD loves the place and such a bonny, happy baby there.
Every morning I drop her off with her little bag of spare clothes, nappies, dummies etc for the day and she's grinning from ear to ear. She loves the staff, the games and, I think, is far happier and more stimulated than at home.
That said, from weeks 2 to 6 (i.e. one full month) she was quite frequently unwell with snotty nose, ear infections and the like. After four long weeks of her being generally under the weather I was starting to get worried but then suddenly she seemed to get a lot better and touch wood hasn't been poorly since.
I'm delighted with my decision to take DD to nursery as opposed to leaving her at home with a minder, I really couldn't be much happier than with the current set-up.

I am expecting a baby boy in September, and I will have to go back to work after 2 months. I dont think anyone from our families can help after that :(
I have been really thinking on what to do, and I think I decided to go for a nursery, unless I get a nanny that has worked for someone I know which can be hard. My colleages (local ladies) had recommended me a nursery close to work where they accept babies and they are always open and the hours are similar to ours. They seem to be happy about that choice as they do not trust any maid/nanny.
So, I would like to hear from working moms that have babies in nurseries. Good and bad experiences. Thank you
