Hello Everybody missu all...it has been long time since i didn t show up on the thread...u know busy with my kid nd the vacation... HollyC nice to see u here....i m an old patient of dr fakih who did ivf with him in 2009 nd got a wondeful kid that will be 2 yrs old very soon. i can tell u that he is the BEST nd i would never recommend anybody else...i was very happy with him since the begining, he listened to me, he looked very professionnal, he gave enough time, he gave me his cell phone 2 call him anytime, he s so nice nd after all he was the main reason for having my kid.... he s the best choice ever and plus his new clinic in al wasl road is really amazing, clean and organised i have been there cause i became their regular patient in everything so even if i pass by jumeirah i always go there to check on the stuffs who are wonderful specially Madonna who is very professionnal and qualified.... so if u need to know anything just contact Madonna anytime cause she s very helpful nd she would give u all the necessar information about everything related to IVF. i wish u the best of luck and keep us posted nd hopefully it ll end by a healthy pregnancy.

Hey HollyC, I do wish you all the best. And since your mind is in the right place, all will be EXACTLY the way its supposed to be ;). I had a regular IVF. I was sedated for the egg retrieval and yes it hurt like a bad period for a day or so after. But I have faith in that team. Both of the Anesthesiologists on staff have a lot of experience and are really good at what they do. They use really good drugs too, because I was knocked out quickly and my wake-up was quite pleasant in fact. I just wanted Spaghetti as soon as I got up. :) I am sure that you will do fine with the ZIFT. If Dr.F recommends it, he is telling you the best way and the one that will provide you with the highest chances. Have faith. I did... CONGRATULATIONS DC_Diva - that is wonderful news - how exciting! I agree with you - positive mind, health and happiness go a long way to helping with the process! So far I really like Dr F - and his team - I am just a bit nervous about the whole thing and am still a little shell shocked that this is my only route to getting pg! but fingers crossed I will get as lucky as you! it really is fantastic news and thank you for replying - you have made me feel so much better (and quite excited about gettig the process started!) One quick question - did you just have regular IVF? I will be doing ZIFT which is why it makes me nervous as I will be under general anaesthetic and basically having a laparoscopy - i am worried about the recovery time? sorry - one more question - were you sedated for the egg retrieval - does it hurt?? x

Hey HollyC, I used Dr. F for IVF after 2 rounds of IUI. Well, today I am 5 months preggers and very healthy. I still go to the clinic to see Dr. Fatin for my Maternity scans/appts, etc. I was truly and still am very pleased with this place. I had gone to three other docs before settling on him and I will tell you that his credentials are very good due to his technique and success rate. Just remember, good science can only go so far, no matter the circumstance. Its a positive mind and a happy mom to be that makes a baby ;) (my belief completely). Wishing you well and feel free to ask anything.

Thank you Tru Blu - he is now licensed in Dubai so not need to travel up to Abu Dhabi which is great - he is quite expensive, but i am of the attitude, 'you pay peanuts, you get monkey'!!! do you know if he is good - i believe he is very good but would love to speak to someone who has used him! thanks again! I believe he has a very good success rate. Perhaps try doing a search on this board under "Fakih" loads of stuff will come up - he has been discussed several times in the last 2 years

Hello - I have just been told that I need to have IVF (I have a T Shaped uterus) and having done 2 IUIs at DGFC I thought it was about time to get a second opinion, so met with Dr Fakih, who diagnosed me rather than just pumping me full of pills - he has said I need to do ZIFT (IVF and TET combined) which is incredibly expensive, around AED35k, which is a huge amount, obviously I would gladly pay that to have a child, but wanted to know if anyone had used him, if he is good (his credentials seem to be amazing) and any advice?? Thank you ladies! I know he is expensive (I have not used him but know someone who has). Also, IVF needs to be done in Abu Dhabi as he is not licensed here. A lot of people recommend Conceive Clinic in Sharjah - apparently v.good and much more reasonably priced.
