Has someone checked their HCG levels in the initial stages of pregnancy. Mine are higher than the range and am concerned.

I think I probably only had mine checked because we'd been trying a fair while and my doctor was being kind :). Levels are meant to double every 48 hours in the early days, so this can be a possible indicator of whether things are going in the right direction or not.

Hi anon They checked beta hcg becoz I visited a Gyn on few days following my IUI for the problem with hyper stimulation of ovaries. I had excessive fluid in my tummy and was fully swollen. Doc checked the beta hcg to know if am pregnant following IUI. Around a week later I visited the doctor for hyper stimulation problem again and pleaded with her to test my beta hcg. In reality, analyzing beta hcg makes sence only if two reading are taken in a gap of 48 hours. In normal pregnancy, they don't check hcg levels. If someone is spotting, bleeding, they may check to see if hcg is abnormal indicating a miscarriage or a problem pregnancy.

Sorry, baby brain. It was 300-ish at 1w6d post ovulation, so almost 4 weeks pregnant.

On 12 days past ovulation, mine was 280 (range is 75-100..I think) 20 days past ovulation , levels are 3200 (range is 500-2500)

Mine was around 300 at 3w6d post ovulation and 1300 48 hours later. How high is high? My doctor said higher levels can mean multiples :D.
