Which sterilizer to buy for Dr. Brown's bottles and Medela breastpump accessories?

Any suggestions on which sterilizer would fit Dr. Brown's bottles and Medela breastpump accessories? Also, I've always been skeptical about using sterilizers- does it really get everything out or do you still have to rinse them first? Thanks!

Thanks, will keep my fingers crossed that the breastfeeding goes well then... Do you have breastfeeding support lined up? When are you due? I think that the most important thing to help with successful breastfeeding is to have a list of people who you can call if you need any support. This can be either peer support, a doula, an Internationally Board Certified Lactation Consultant, or supportive doctor or midwife. BFC has a great list on here that might be helpful to get you started. :)

But if I do end up using formula, then I would have to sterilize? ... I would say yes if you use formula. Breastmilk has properties that are antibacterial and naturally sterilize. Formula can have bacteria in it and is a bit more risky when used so you'd want to sterilize if you used formula. If you would only rarely be needing to sterilize you can just boil the parts instead of buying a machine.

If your baby is full term and healthy and you are only using breastmilk there is no need to sterilize after each use. Breastmilk contains properties that prevent bacteria from growing. You can boil or sterilize before the first use if you want but after that it's not necessary. I used an Avent digital sterilizer for Dr Brown's 4 ounce bottles. Worked for the breast pump as well. However, now that we're moving to the 8 ounce bottles, they don't fit into the sterilizer unless you take the top tray off. You can still use it successfully, just maybe with fewer bottles at a time. I'm very happy with this arrangement though. From my research, the only sterilizer that works to fit a lot of the larger Dr Brown's bottles is the Dr Brown's one. It isn't available here though :(. Also, to the best of my knowledge, you need to thoroughly wash the bottles before putting it into a sterilizer. It only steams and kills germs and doesn't clean at all (unlike a dish washer). I never had a sterilizer. I wash bottles and pump accessories with a soapy water after every use and boil them for 10 minutes once a day. Never had any problems (except of boiling Medela tubes ets overnight! - lesson learnt - I put a timer on since).
