Why does my baby's pee smell like chemicals?

MY DD is nearly 1, although oblate (about 3 weeks) her pee has started to have a funny smell and the only way to describe it is that of chemicals.
She gets lots of liquids, we've changed the brand of nappies she uses and she gets frequent changes. She is not cranky or fussy or doesn't seem to have any infection (although I am booking in a doc's appointment after weekend to rule anything out)
I have read online this could happen when they teeth.
Did anyone else have this experience with their LOs?
Curious.
