Hi Ladies,

I am due in september and am planning to breastfeed if all goes well but we are looking at baby bottles just in case and I saw the Dr Brown bottles in Babyshop and I wondered if anyone has used these and what they thought? or any suggestions about what you think are the best bottles would be useful in helping us to decide. These were the only bottles that my LO would take. They are fantastic and really helped with reflux and colic. Babies R us is times square has the best range and they have the 250ml bottles too. There are the narrow neck and wide neck. I have both and both work fine, the wide neck is just easier to put the scoop of formula in when in a rush. Best bottles ever!

Hi, I was given Dr.Brown bottles from some good friends of mine. They gave me the plastic ones that could hold 120ml and that had the anti colic tube thing on the inside. Although in the beginning the bottles were fine, I quickly found that I needed more than 120ml per feed. I went out and bought the agent ones instead which hold a lot more. I also found that the agent bottles are readily available here, included the different size teats. I struggled to find different teats for the dr.browns bottles. My recommendation would be to use Avent. It's a global brand and you can use the bottles from birth through to weaning. Good luck!

Hi, I have used Dr. Browns bottles for my babies and I love love love them. Their teats are really soft which is great for newborns. Also they're supposed to prevent colic/gas with that plastic pipe that runs down the middle. The teats on the avent bottles are hard in comparison and my first baby had colic with avent bottles. Thanks Ymo2000. Its good to have some feedback from someone who is actually using them.
