Nine month old not napping - help!
Hi ladies,
Over these last 3 weeks or so my nine month old, who normally goes down for two naps during the day right on schedule, is refusing to nap!
I don't know what's changed. If anything, our routine has gotten better now that school is out and I don't have to do the school run with him.
He's still a 100% breastfed baby and sleeps through the night for me (from about 7pm to 5am).
I was reading that he may be getting so much sleep at night that it's interfering with napping during the day. However, he's definitely still tired during the day, fussy & crying quite a bit if I'm not holding him. He'll fall asleep while nursing and even if I am careful to gently lay him in his crib, the moment he is out of my arms, he turns over and starts screaming.
I don't know if it's some sort of negative association with his crib - I wouldn't think so because he sleeps so well at night.
He also can and will sleep for an hour or more in his car seat during the day if we go out. If we don't, he will not nap and is very fussy by the afternoon.
I don't have any help around the house so trying to balance a tired & fussy 9 month old and completing the everyday chores, leaves me worn out by the time he goes to sleep. :)
