14 month old- child development
Just need some thoughts from other mommies!
My 14 month old son is based at home with our maid. He goes every evening to the park for an hour, but usually on the pram, he mingles more with the adults than children. He is curious about them, but doesn't sort of venture out. Its a sand park, so I normally don't let him out cause there are bigger children playing throwing sand around etc. So thought it may not be that good for him. I work long hours, so his main interaction is with the maid (please do not judge me, I have to work..)
I sing ABCD to him and some odd nursery rhymes to sort of get him started on some sort of education. He plays with his toys, says mamma, dada and tata. But apart from that not many words. Is there anything else he should be doing? I try sitting down with him and have instructed the maid as well during the day to sort of say 'where is your Eyes, ears' etc.... Should he be doing any more than this? What do you all do/done?
