bad reaction to Augmentin
Hi Mumas!
Need some advice :( My 2 1/2 yr old was prescribed Augmentin for a throat infection. Its the first time he's on antibiotics. After his second dose, he vomitted the very little that he did have for breakfast. I sms'ed my ped right away and he advised me to just give him smaller meals. BY yesterday afternoon he developed diarrhea despite eating very little. Since this morning we've gone through 8 diapers and I've sms'ed my ped again but no response yet. I've held off on giving him his 4th dose this morning, because this medication is obviously not sitting well with him. I'm trying to keep him hydrated and trying to get him to eat yogurt (probiotics)- but he's completely turned off from food right now and just wants milk. Any of you have experience with this? Any advice on how I can make the little guy feel better? I'm almost tempted to just stop giving him the meds :(
