Weaning - can anyone advise please?
OK so my baby is 6.5 months old and on hte advice of our Dr have been trying to wean her onto food for about a month now. She didnt seem interested from the start and I thought nothing of it as presumed she was just getting used to tastes etc.
Now 1 month on, she is STILL not very interested! She loves her high chair LOL but is more interested in looking around her than actually eating the food. As soon as she sees the spoon her lips clamp shut and she smiles up at me! :)
She takes a feed every 4 hours of no more than 150ml at a time and we try the solids 2 hours after a feed in the morning and in the early afternoon. I would have thought after 1 month that she would be eating a lot more. Sometimes she takes some but the amounts are very little and most of it ends on up her face or high chair!
I have tried ALL sorts of fruit and veg suitable for her age - some she prefers more than others but the last time we saw her Dr he said that she really need to start eating more for nutrients etc. Her weight is fine but am concerned from the nutrient perspective.
Any thoughts please? Am wondering is she hungry enough but have also tried waiting to 3 hours after her feed and it seems to make no difference?
