I just found out my sister is planning on throwing me a baby shower so naturally I feel inclined to create a baby registry. I checked with babiesrus and they don't do baby registries! JustKidding does them but I've only found two things online that I actually need from there. Babyshop had absolutely no options online for a registry. What is going on here?! People in Dubai don't have baby showers? There is no good return policy in this country so how exactly are people supposed to know what I need?? Am I just supposed to make a list lol

A friend recently used BabyList at http://babyli.st/ She picked baby items from various stores (regardless of whether you can buy them online or not) and it compiles everything in one place. People can buy the item in person then go online and mark it as purchased so you don't get double gifts. Congrats x Oh wow this is great! Babyshop has an online store so I can just add items to the babyli list and its like I'm registered there! Wonder if mothercare has online shopping or maybe i can just add the page to the babyli list! Thanks soooo much!!!

Mothercare do baby registries but they are tied to one store only (eg. you make your registry in the Dubai Mall branch and then people can ONLY access it there), which is really inconvenient. I'd personally just ask for things you can't have enough of (diapers...), ask for everyone to chip in on a big ticket item (stroller...) or just ask for receipts and be ready to go on an exchange trip. Yes I visited Dubai Mall today (well...yesterday) and found that out. What is the deal here in Dubai? Why is it so difficult for them to get with the program lol. So I paid 10AED for the Mothercare catalog and they gave me the form so I can fill it out at home. At least the Dubai Mall Mothercare is the biggest one here I guess and people would only need to go there :-/ I don't really need that much stuff, i think i might just make a list and have my sister post it to the evite and request receipts like you suggested.
