We had 2 of these Kangen water machines back in the US at my work. The boss wanted to try them out and we were encourage to use it ourselves as well. It was a bit of a rage in the health and fitness industry for a while--along with IV ozone therapy for diehards or those seeking alternative treatment for kidney disease and other serious illnesses. Wade Lightheart is a huge proponent of the Kangen water, too. Anyway, the water tastes, well, interesting. They suggest starting with like an 8 or 8.5 and working your way up to 9 pH. The first time I tried 9 it just made me ill. I did use the acid setting for "beauty" purposes, and I guess it tightened my pores, but truly a lot of the "evidence" is anectdotal. I procured the machines from a gentleman with the surname of Morningstar if I am not mistaken and the company was Kangen Water Enagic. Believe the systems were $4000 a pop 6 years ago. One of the big red flags for me was the pressure to become a distributor upon purchasing the systems. There were some folks in our circle that were noticing an improvement in health markers, but at the time, there were so many variables going on that we couldn't really chalk it up to the water. Many of the spokespeople follow a partial juicing plan or other "healthy" eating plans which can largely account for good health. Plus...homeostasis is something the body works very hard at. You just can't "alkalinize" your system through foods or liquid you ingest. We stabilize at 4.5-5.5 and that's just that! Good luck in your research. It is difficult to find unbiased info on Kangen water on the internet, and I can think of a lot of other good things to spend $4,000 USD on...if it still costs that.

It was suggested to me by someone who was selling it, but when I really researched it online, there is no proof it has any health benefits, in fact, it's the contrary, using ionised water can cause health problems. So I passed on it. Do plenty of online research before you part with your money. edited by MKZ on 22/03/2015
