Thanks did the visa run yesterday very easy using the 611 Emirates Road and the E102. FYI there is a new exit fee of AED 35 to exit the UAE.

The border is open, it's the army check points on the E44 that are closed and turning people back. You have to go round and take the Sharjah / Kalba route and hop back on the E44 at the Hatta Fort Hotel roundabout.

As of last weekend the Hatta/Wajaja (Dubai/Oman) border was open. What is not open is that section of the E44 between Madam and Masfout which passes through the Omani enclave. You have to leave the E44 and get onto the E55 and then the E210 (or something similar - I know it has a 1, a 2 and a 0 in the number but have forgotten in which order the numbers appear ?) Sharjah to Kalba road and then head back to the E44 at Masfout.

Can someone please confirm the route needed for a visa run tomorrow. Usually go E44 through Oman to Hatta then exit uae to the Oman building entry and exit visa there then back to Uae building for entry visa and through the Oman bit on E44. Do I have to do something different now?
