Hello,

We are a family of one 4 year old boy and second child on the way, due in November 2016. Our Canadian immigration application is in process. But we dont know how soon we would get selected in the pool. In the meantime, we were thinking about delivering our second child in Canada. Can anyone provide any insight into this? If our baby gets canadian citizenship, would it make our application faster/easier ?

Thanks !

No experience of Canada but one of our friends delivered their second baby in US. The baby got American passport but it made no difference what so ever to their application and the baby can only sponsor his parents when he turns 18. So I don't think they gained anything out of that exercise.

If Canadian immigration officials decide you are trying to use your baby as a way to circumvent immigration rules or process you may be denied entry. What effect it might have on your application I don't know.

No it will not. Are you planning on living and working in Canada?
