big blue - your honest insights are greatly appreciated. you and i had discussed BELC a few months back and i had gone to see it based on your recommendations. it was total chaos when i went (which is not okay when there are so many little children there) and several people gave me different answers to different questions i had.
the facilities are nice, but it came off as a very hectic and haphazard environment, and there didn't seem to be any clear or consistent communication among the staff. i wanted to send the LO there because it was so close to us and was hoping it would be a good option near home, but after my experience we have decided to enroll him at Little Land in Umm Suqueim - which was our first choice, just quite a trek from Silicon Oasis.
I wish you the best of luck for the rest of the year and hope that you are at least able to ride the remainder of the term out with some comfort.
For those of you following this forum for the past couple of years, you may recognize me as a strong proponent of Blossom Early Learning Center in Academic City. Sadly the situation at BELC has changed so much this year that I feel a responsibility to let you all know and to withdraw my support and recommendations.
We are now on our third center director in something like 8 months; my daughter's class has changed 3 teachers in the past 2 months (one of which was dismissed), communication is terrible, I had a concern about a situation that I complained about and got little in return. At this point it is too late for us to try and move so we will wait the rest of the year out but I would most certainly not recommend BELC to anybody anymore.
