Hi! How does one go about obtaining a Police Clearance Certificate from Dubai?

I'm interested in finding out if you can still request for one if you've moved away and maybe have the company PRO do it or do we have to come to Dubai with all paperwork and apply in person. If so, how long would the process take?

Have a good one! Thanks!!

Got a new job here but struggled to get a Certificate as still don't have Emirates ID yet. Basically, the way to do it here will be to go to Police HQ (by the airport) and bring: - passport photo - passport - letter from the employer (that they require Certificate) I needed it very urgently and was trying different police departments and got lucky at Dry Docks Police station, I think they open like 24/7. Lady was nice to me as I explained the situation, I just showed her the Offer Letter (passport and photograph) and since they dont have me in the system, she took my fingerprints, I paid the fee and collected my Certificate in 2 days! Hope that helps :)

Police clearance certificate can be applied online if it is for some local matter to be used in dubai. But if you need it for using internationally like may be immigration or something online application does not work . It needs to be applied in an office , in person. You walk into office( only some bigger ones do it), if the officer can look up your details in the system with emirates ID (finger prints etc etc) then you pay the fee and you collect the certificate in a week I think. I am not sure of time line but it is not more than a week and the process was quite quick and simple as I was still in dubai and had a current visa and emirates ID etc but in your case it might involve few more steps as you are not a current resident.
