we plan to fly from Dubai to Vienna by Emirates. As Emirates not offering flights to our home town Bremen, we booked Lufthansa from Vienna to Bremen.
As we would not have lot of time in Vienna could we check in luggage in Dubai and then automatically for the flight from Vienna to Bremen?
Not sure as Lufthansa is not a partner airline.
Otherwise I guess we would have to collect luggage in Vienna and then check in again at lufthansa....that would take too much time.
Does anyone has similar experience??
You can present the other airline tickets for the connecting flight at the check in to tag the bags all the way to vie
If Bremen in Austria, then you need to claim the bags in vie then check in for the domestic flight....
As I know for sure from previous work experience you can tag your bags all the way as long as its international destinations, if last airport is donestic then you claim your bags at the last international airport then re check in for the domestic flight.
