I wrote this message a couple of month ago and can report that in the end I settled for keeping my little one home. In September he will start at Cocoon Nursery and very impressed by what we saw so far. They have been going for more than 10 years so I am feeling confident.
That's true, try to opt for a well established nursery. I had a very positive experience with Blossom Burj nursery and I know they have 6 branches across Dubai
Yes, a number have closed down since December and I agree, it is a worry.
There is no real way of knowing although sometimes the indicators are there. Low number of children, obvious lack of resources, run down premises, are just a few. Working in the educational sector, we have heard that the Ministry is no longer issuing new licenses. I definitely agree that it is worrying for parents seeking to put their little ones in nursery. I would say opt for the better established ones that have not changed ownership. They have been there and survived for a reason. Kid's Island is a prime example. I have recommended it many, many times and everyone is extremely happy. Absolutely lovely nursery.
Another nursery which I thought was well established, announced their closure. I was with Palms Nursery before and they closed at the end of April. How will I know that the nursery I choose for my 14 month old won't close too after a few months?
