Following rainfall in two emirates, the country is preparing for more unsettled weather...
Residents in Fujairah and Ras Al Khaimah began their week with drizzles of rain, and this weather is expected to continue across parts of the UAE in the coming week.
According to the government's weather center, the National Centre for Meterology, extensive cloud cover, humidity, fog and outbreaks of rain are expected as we near towards the end of the month.

Signs of the upcoming period of unsettled weather were evident to Dubai residents on Saturday morning, after HH Sheikh Hamdan shared stunning imagery of the city doused in fog.
Whilst rainfall is a welcome sight for many living in the UAE, previous stints of heavy downpours in recent years have caused chaos on the roads and for commuters.
When travelling anywhere in unsettled weather, drivers must slow down if they come across standing water, and should use their lights when visibility is poor.
Why does it rain in the UAE?
In an effort to increase rainfall in the country, the UAE is one of the first countries in the Arabian Gulf to adopt cloud-seeding methods. Using sophisticated weather radars, scientists at the National Centre of Meterology (NCM) are able to monitor the atmosphere of the country around the clock.
