We might be visiting Saudi Al Khobar area... Any advice on what to do there?
Any kids activities, any possible fun??
It's only for a week but I am so NoT excited about it and wanna plan ahead.
Do they have hotels with pools etc?
I can't find stuff online.
Appreciate any feedback.

Are there women's fitness centers there? I am wondering how it will work out as I usually exercise but it is desert in Dammam. I typically would take my kids to exercise with me, but not sure how people do it there. I think my son who is a teenager would have to go to the men's fitness center? If there is one?

Hi Gaijind Sorry to say there is not much to do in Khobar. Is your husband coming on business and bringing you? If so, maybe his company already has staff living on a compound that has a guesthouse you can stay in. This would be a better option, as most have multiple pools and other activities, one I know of even has an ice rink. I don't think any of the hotels have pools, but even if they did, a female adult would not be allowed to swim, as you must be covered the entire time apart from when you are in your room. There are no cinemas, bowling alleys etc here (unless you can get onto the Aramco compound, which has everything). There are a couple of shopping malls, one of which has a children's play area. You could walk and picnic on the corniche, but again would have to be covered. You could go for meals, as most restaurants have family areas. If I can help with anything else, please don't hesitate to ask Best of luck Kaydee
